Born James Coleman White to Roberta Ann Tafalla and John Russell White, he was later adopted by Thomas Bennylee Kirby, at which time his middle and last name were changed to Aaron Kirby. His gospel rap journey began at the age of 13, when he started recording music produced by XL.

At 16, he met the mother of his children. He taught her how to rap and sing, wrote their songs, and together they traveled from church to church throughout Southern California, ministering through music. After a difficult and messy divorce, his life entered a downward spiral as he struggled to continue his career while battling homelessness and addiction.

Following this season, he appeared on the King Cyrus Podcast, where he openly shared his story of transformation. At the end of the podcast, King Cyrus reminded him of a song they had recorded together over 20 years earlier and invited him back into the rap game in March 2025. Just nine months later, the Gofer Broke album was completed.

The project features his son, Devin Lawrence Kirby, also known as Dizzy Omega, on the track “The Matrix.” The remainder of the album was produced by Tae Crucial. He believes he has been given a mission by the Most High—to awaken believers from religious indoctrination and break the chains of spiritual bondage.

Much more to come.
